I heard about the Haakaa silicone breast pump for months before I finally decided to order it. I was hesitant for two reasons:
- I pumped for our first babies, (our twins) for 15 months and had little desire to do so this go round. It was hard work and I was very over messing with pump parts.
- Our third baby has never taken a single bottle (total opposite “problem”- though we did try) so I thought, “what’s the point of pumping?”
Still, after struggling with supply (amongst many other things) feeding the twins, it really pained me to be “wasting” precious milk.
Plus, my husband essentially purchased a deep freezer so that I could store breastmilk so I thought I had better get something in there other than Costco frozen pizza…that breadcrumb crust tho.
To say I was blown away would be an understatement!
My first time using the Haakaa Manual Breast Pump I collected 2 ounces of milk from the opposite side I was nursing on with ZERO effort in less than 15 minutes!
You simply attach, squeeze once to create suction, and voila! I am still kicking myself over all the milk I could’ve saved. It’s amazing how well it works…and it’s one piece so cleaning is a breeze!
TL;DR: Highly recommended
